Q: What is Private Duty Care?

A: Private Duty Care includes providing various types of caregivers to those who wish to be cared for in their own homes or residential care facilities. Personnel includes: RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, Companions, and Live-Ins.

Q: How much advance notice do I need to contract with Aurora Nurses for Private Duty Care?

A: Aurora Nurses provides services on a continuous standby basis, thus, in most instances we can accommodate same day service; however, for appropriate assessment and assignment, we recommend as much advance notice as possible for proper care planning.

Q: How do I pay for Private Duty Care?

A: Fees for Private Duty Care are determined by the type of caregiver assigned and length of service of each case. Payment for Private Duty Care is made directly to Aurora Nurses via check or credit card. We also accept long-term insurance. Aurora Nurses is not a Medicare approved agency.

Q: Are Aurora’s health caregivers and nurses trustworthy and well trained?

A: We provide Level Two background checks, (which means they are finger printed and screened nationally) and our caregivers adhere to a Code of Ethics and Standard of Conduct policies set by Aurora Nurses. All caregivers are trained to the specific case assignment and participates in a performance review process during and at the completion of an assignment.

Q: Our residential care facility is currently recruiting RNs and aides, could Aurora Nurses source our personnel needs?

A: Yes, Aurora Nurses' is able to provide relief service nurses and aides as needed, as well as source your full-time private duty needs on a contractual basis.
